I have purchased 2 sets of R917. I also purchased batteries along side. This set is amazing compact and sturdy. Radio FM reception is very clear and good and the whole set is solid. Battery once used lasted for more than 5 hours. This is good and dependable. Torch light is also good. Sound clarity is nice to hear. IT has a Audio output for Headphone. I only wish if it had an audio input then we could connected a 3.5mm jack to an mobile and could have listened to the radio as an external speaker. ON the whole it is a pleasant experience to listen.

Pagaria Portable Radio is the best AM, FM and SW radio. All channels are working fine.
AM, SW band has excellent performance and is working really fine.
Previously using other radios, but didn’t catch any SW band channels,
Whereas this radio caught almost all the channels with good clarity.
USB and TF card are working fine.
The best thing I think is FM, AM, SW voice is clear,
Bluetooth Option is working great
Speaker quality is excellent and bass is great
I can hear it in my earphones also the size is very compact you can take it wherever you go
Radio in my area is working fine without antenna open

i) Radio is excellent, it’s reception is like vintage tube radios (FM/Am/Sw works so fine without any noise) and speaker outuput is loud and so melidious with bass
ii) Packaging they did was just amazing I got product in excellent condition without any damage or scratch
iii) Customer service is just amazing, they deal very politely and was regularly checking courier updates and were sending me through message

Its was like a gambling for me to select a radio as I was born in the era of Radio Ceylon which is currently named as SLBC (currently SW transmission closed). Radio is and was a part of my life till date. At that time every morning used to start with the tune of Radio Ceylon. The unforgottable voice of the anchor ” Yeh Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation ka Videsh Bibhag hae” is still remembering, even today.
BTW there are so many brands online for radio category but I locked my key in this particular product i.e. Pagaria R-917 Radio. Surprisingly I have received an amazing product. It is beyond my expectation. So compact, so handy, so solid build quality. Using it for couple of days. I can say this product is amazing. Here is my opinion –

One of the major drawback of this product is that the on/off function works with band key. Each time the band switch has to move to off position to switch off the radio & again it has to move to desired band position to play the radio. This may make the band key loose in few months. It would be better if the on/off function works with volume key just like other major brands. The inbuilt rechargeable battery may be replaced with 2*AA Battery which will be more convenient for the user to use with externally recharged ni cad/Li-ion battery. I hope the company will take care of this review & modify the product as it did for the external antenna recently.

The power on/off may be associated with volume Knob or it may be a dedicated one so that the band key will have a longer life & the radio will be more convenient for use.

Every thing is alright except band switch. The drawback is Band switch and off/on switch is same and after using 3/4 months it has become loose. There is no authorised service centre near me so I could repair it. Now a days trained technicians of radio are not available. External antenna cable de touched. Cable is very effective on my place. Without of it radio is not working.

The power on /off switch should be separated from band switch. It may be a dedicated switch or may be with volume control knob

I have purchased Pagaria R-917 radio with BT MP3 FM AM SW 4 bands. It’s body is sturdy, and it’s appearance is amazing. MP3 BT.performance is excellant. Nice sound system. All the knobs are fitted.firmly and no invenience is found in operating. I am fully satisfied with the set.
